How to build your self-confidence

Self-confident is actually a very powerful tool which helps us enjoy every moment in order to live in better way and fullest. Actually, i know that everyone has different levels of self-confident problems. Some of you may have personality types that are shy, some of you may feel self-confident in just one favourite field.

Self-confident is actually a very powerful tool which helps us enjoy every moment in order to live in better way and fullest. Actually, i know that everyone has different levels of self-confident problems. Some of you may have personality types that are shy, some of you may feel self-confident in just one favourite field, vv. However, you do not need to worry even if you haven't got it yet. Here are some actions you can take today, right now in order to improve your self-confidence. By practicing these actions, you’ll be taking giant strides to building your own self-confidence.

1. Practice

If you lack self-confidence in a skill, practice it. The problem is we expect to be self-confident but we can’t be unless the skill or the task we are doing is not novel or is not new to us. For example, when I did my speech, and I practiced in front of a mirror and then I went in front of my mother, I got a little nervous. I continue to practice my speech day by day. As the result, by the time I stand in front of one hundred people, I won't have any nervousness because of my ability to practice

2. Smile and look people in the eye

When you smile and make eye contact, it shows that you have a certain ease and warmth about you. This enables others to feel more at ease in your presence, thus improving the quality of your interactions. As you start to interact better with others, your self-confidence grows until communicating with ease becomes a natural process.

3. Stop negative and worrying thoughts.

Stop worrying and developing negative thoughts about the circumstances and feeling worthless. If you can change things for better, just do it, whatever way you can. If you can do nothing about it, why all those constant worries and helplessness. Let go of things. If you couldn’t work it out this time, try your luck next time around or on some other thing. Negative thoughts are highly detrimental to person’s development and well-being. Avoiding negative thoughts and cultivating positive thoughts on everyday basis, can lead you a long way to being much confident about yourself.

4. Speak assertively.

 

The next time you listen to your favorite speaker, be mindful of the way he or she delivers a speech. A great speaker speaks confidently, in a steady, rhythmic tone. Instead of the “ums” and “ahs” that interrupt flow, they use pauses to emphasize ideas. Adopt an assertive, but not aggressive, way of speaking that indicates your self-confidence. You will feel your self-esteem begin to rise. To be taken seriously, avoid high-pitched, nervous chatter or twittering giggles in your speech. People will listen to you more attentively when they see the leader radiate from within you.
